India
Manage Opportunities and Challenges.
India is one of the world's fastest growing
countries. It’s the world's largest parliamentary democracy
with a population of over one billion. India is a democratic,
secular and tolerant multi-ethnic state, with a vast variety of
cultures, religions and languages, currently undergoing a rapid
modernization process.
Extreme opposites continue to shape the image
of the country. Thus, the most recent developments include
high-tech alongside streets decorated with flowers, sacred Indian
cows, and glitter; modern buildings as well as slums.
Nevertheless, the economic relations
between Germany and India in recent years have gained significant
momentum and intensity. Germany is India's largest trading partner
within the EU and there have been several collaborative projects
established. Moreover, India has sought to simplify administrative
procedures to facilitate foreign involvement in India.
German companies often opt for India as
an investment and cooperation location because of its highly trained
personnel.
India offers great economic potential.
